Scott Blair is the founder of Brain Injury Law of Seattle. Brain injury work is his passion. For the last 25 years, Scott has proudly helped folks with brain injuries get the specialized treatment they need to get their lives back together. Scott understands that the effects of brain injuries are often complex and subtle and can have a variety of profound effects on a person if they are not recognized and dealt with in a timely fashion. He has always been a pioneer in advancing new knowledge about brain injuries to lawyers and the public.
In 2014, Scott was the first lawyer in the country to recognize the importance and prevalence of pituitary injuries in brain injury cases, and to passionately start educating and alerting the rest of the legal profession to the importance of such injuries. He also led the charge on helping brain injury victims get the help they need for pituitary injuries that are present in nearly 25% of all TBI cases. He also had been a leader in identifying helping clients get treatment for sleep problems resulting from brain injuries over 50% of the time in brain injuries.
Scott has also been at the forefront nationally introducing and using new advanced neuroimaging techniques in his cases to help visualize and objectively prove brain damage. His methods have been key in helping highly functioning individuals with brain injuries who are still working where the insurance companies defending their case claim there can be no brain injury because they continue to work and seemingly function well. He has been the first lawyer in the country to utilize several advanced imaging techniques in his cases. Because of this, Brain Injury Law of Seattle has been well ahead of other law firms handling brain injury cases because it uses advanced imaging techniques that are not available to most law firms.
Because of his pioneering work in this area, Scott has been asked by many lawyer organizations, brain injury foundations, and even the Veterans Administration to help train brain injury workers, medical staff, social workers, lawyers and others on how to screen for and spot pituitary injuries and brain injuries generally. Because of his passion for helping TBI victims and training other attorneys on handling TBI cases, he has been asked by the Washington State Association of Justice to Chair its annual Traumatic Brain Injury Seminar three separate times. He is an officer of the national American Association for Justice TBI Litigation group, and is the incoming Chair leading that organization, for 2026-7.
He has presented nationally on brain injuries to this group on advanced neuroimaging, pituitary injuries, confronting defense neuropsychologists, and many other TBI related topics. He has also been asked by several State Trial lawyer organizations to teach other lawyers throughout the US on how to handle TBI cases to get the best results for their clients. He has been recognized by the medical profession as well for his passion in helping TBI victims. Scott has also been asked to serve as an expert witness on TBI related matters in cases against insurance companies who fail to properly evaluate TBI cases.
In addition to his passion for representing TBI victims, Scott is also an accomplished trial lawyer who has tried more than 100 jury trials to verdict over the course of his 42-year career. As a graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College in Wyoming, and having attended the graduate course from the Gerry Spence Method college in 2024, Scott is committed to trying all his client’s cases to verdict to get them justice. Scott is the incoming chair of the TBI Litigation Group — a national Brain Injury Group of TBI lawyers under AAJ (https://aajtbilg.org/). Scott is also writing an extensive book for attorneys on TBI litigation.
