Who Pick Up
the Phone
You were rear-ended, T-boned, or hit by a driver looking at their phone — and now an adjuster wants a recorded statement. Call us and you'll speak with an auto accident attorney, not a call center. Free case review, and no attorney fee unless we recover for you.
Contingency fee: you pay no attorney fee unless we recover for you. Case costs and expenses are separate from the attorney fee and are explained in writing before we begin.
Tell Us About the Crash
Free, confidential review of your car accident claim. You pay no attorney fee unless we recover for you.
Submitting this form does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please don't send confidential information until we've agreed to represent you.
The Adjuster Called
Before Your Doctor Did
That's not an accident. The other driver's insurer wants your recorded statement while you're still sore, still rattled, and still unsure how badly you're hurt — because what you say in that first call gets used to shrink your claim later.
You don't have to give them anything. Let us handle the insurance company while you handle getting better.
They've offered you a quick check.
Early offers almost always land before anyone knows the full cost of your injuries. Once you sign, the claim is closed — even if you need surgery six months from now.
You felt "fine" at the scene.
Adrenaline hides a lot. Whiplash, concussions, and disc injuries often surface days later. If something hasn't felt right since the crash, that's worth a conversation.
The other driver had no insurance.
You may still have a claim — through your own uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. Most people don't know they have it. We'll read your policy for free.
Car Accident Cases We Handle
Every Kind of Crash on Washington Roads
Whether it happened on I-5 at rush hour or in a parking lot in Edmonds, the questions are the same: who was at fault, who pays, and what is this actually worth. Here's where we work.
Rear-End Collisions
The most common crash and the most commonly lowballed. "Minor impact" does not mean minor injury — and we have the medical proof to say so.
Intersection & Left-Turn Crashes
Ran the light, turned across traffic, rolled the stop sign. Liability gets disputed fast, so evidence gets gathered fast.
Distracted & Impaired Drivers
Phone records, dashcam footage, and event data recorders tell the story the other driver won't. We know how to get them.
Uninsured & Hit-and-Run
If the at-fault driver fled or carried no coverage, your own UM/UIM policy may be the case. We'll find every available policy.
Rideshare & Delivery Drivers
Uber, Lyft, and delivery vehicles carry layered commercial coverage that changes by the minute. Sorting out which policy applies is half the fight.
Trucks & Commercial Vehicles
Bigger vehicle, bigger injuries, bigger defense team. We're built to go up against national carriers and their insurers.
Headaches, memory trouble, light sensitivity, or a personality change since your crash? Traumatic brain injury and concussion cases are this firm's focus — including the ones that get missed because the scans came back clean. If something hasn't felt right since the crash, we'd like to hear about it.

What to Do Next
In order. The first 72 hours shape the rest of your claim — and most of the damage people do to their own case is done before they ever call a lawyer.
Get checked out, even if you feel okay
A same-day or next-day medical visit protects your health and your claim. Gaps in treatment are the first thing an adjuster points to.
Don't give a recorded statement
You are not required to give the other driver's insurer a recorded statement. Politely decline and tell them your attorney will follow up.
Save everything
Photos of both vehicles and the scene, the police report number, the other driver's insurance info, witness names, and every medical bill and receipt.
Use your own PIP coverage
Personal Injury Protection pays your early medical bills regardless of fault. Using it does not raise your rates and does not mean you're admitting anything.
Call before you sign anything
Not a release, not a settlement check, not a medical authorization. One free call can save you from a decision you can't undo.
Washington Car Accident Law
Four Rules That Decide Your Claim
Plain-English version. The details matter, and they're what we'll walk you through on the call.
You have 3 years
Washington generally gives you three years from the date of the crash to file a personal injury lawsuit. Claims against a city, county, or state agency have shorter notice requirements — sometimes much shorter.
Partial fault doesn't end your case
Washington uses pure comparative fault. Even if you were partly to blame, you can still recover — your award is just reduced by your share of the fault.
PIP pays first, and fast
Insurers must offer Personal Injury Protection in Washington. If you didn't reject it in writing, you have it — and it covers early medical bills no matter who caused the crash.
UM/UIM is your safety net
If the at-fault driver was uninsured, underinsured, or never stopped, your own uninsured motorist coverage can step into their shoes. We check for it in every case.
Why Clients Choose Us
A Different Kind of Car Accident Firm
An attorney answers
When you call, you get a lawyer — not a paralegal, not an intake script, not a callback in three days.
We come to you
If you can't drive after the crash, that's not your problem to solve. We'll meet you at home, at the hospital, or wherever works.
We coordinate your care
We connect you with the right specialists — especially when a head injury is in play and the ER told you it was "just a concussion."
We take fewer cases
We're not a volume settlement mill. When we take your case, you're not a file number in a queue of four hundred.
Client Reviews
What Washington Drivers Say
I made an inquiry on the website seeking a personal inquiry attorney and within an hour I was speaking to Scott B., regarding our ride share crash in downtown Seattle… Scott listened and asked specific questions providing information that put me at ease and helped me decide next steps in moving forward.
Scott and his team not only made it easy to deal with insurance claims and settlement, but they also helped my family to deal with consequences of the accident. Scott supported me through this ordeal, and I am very grateful.
The team at Brain Injury Law of Seattle are responsive to concerns, professional and honest. I would recommend this office.
These are excerpts from reviews by actual clients of Brain Injury Law of Seattle, published in full on our website. Testimonials do not describe all of the firm’s results and are not a guarantee or prediction of the outcome of any other case. Every case is different and must be evaluated on its own facts.

Common Questions
Before You Call
Nothing up front. We work on a contingency fee, which means our fee comes out of the recovery — and if we don't win, you don't owe us a fee. The consultation is free either way.
Generally three years from the date of the crash. But claims against a government entity — a city bus, a county road, a state vehicle — carry much shorter notice deadlines. If a public agency is involved, call sooner rather than later.
You're not required to, and we'd recommend you don't — not before you've talked to a lawyer. That adjuster works for the company that pays your claim. A friendly recorded statement early on is one of the most common ways people accidentally devalue their own case.
You may still have a claim under your own uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. Most Washington drivers have it and don't realize it. Send us your policy and we'll read it for free.
Anyone who gives you a number before reviewing your medical records is guessing. The honest answer depends on the severity of your injuries, how long recovery takes, lost income, available insurance limits, and fault. What we can promise is a straight answer once we've actually looked.
Almost certainly not. Unless you've signed a release, your claim is still yours. Call us and we'll tell you honestly where you stand.
