Snohomish County, WA (October 27, 2025) – Two people were killed on Sunday, October 26, in a collision on Highway 2 near Stevens Pass.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a Subaru Crosstrek traveling west lost control around 1 p.m. and veered into the eastbound lanes. The vehicle collided with a Ford F-150, blocking both eastbound lanes just west of the pass.
Troopers noted that conditions were poor at the time of the crash, with rain falling and snow present on the highway’s shoulder. Temperatures were reported around 35 degrees.
Both occupants of the Subaru, a 46-year-old man and a 17-year-old passenger, died at the scene. Two people in the Ford were transported to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett—one for injuries and another as a precaution.
Authorities confirmed that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash. The Washington State Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the fatal collision.
