Seattle, WA (October 5, 2025) – A vehicle struck an adult cyclist on Sunday morning, October 5,  near the intersection of Southwest Henderson Street and 15th Avenue Southwest in Seattle.

Witnesses said the vehicle struck the cyclist with heavy force, throwing them onto the pavement and leaving them unable to move. Emergency crews arrived quickly. Seattle Fire medics treated the cyclist at the scene before taking them to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Authorities are reviewing what led to the collision. Updates are expected as the investigation continues.

    Bicycle Accidents in Washington

Cyclists face high risks on Washington’s busy streets, especially in urban areas like Seattle. Traffic congestion, distracted driving, and limited visibility during early morning or evening hours make crashes more likely.

Some of the most serious injuries seen in these accidents include:

    • Head Injuries: Even one impact can disrupt memory, balance, and emotions long after the crash.
    • Spinal Damage: Neck or back trauma may lead to lasting pain or paralysis.
    • Broken Bones: Fractures can require surgery and long rehabilitation.
    • Internal Injuries: Organ damage or bleeding can become life-threatening if not treated promptly.

Head injuries are particularly dangerous. The brain is a soft and delicate organ, making it prone to damage during sudden impact. Symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, sleep issues, or mood changes often appear days or weeks after the crash. Early medical evaluation is critical to avoid long-term complications.

If you or a loved one sustained injuries in a traffic crash, it’s important to act quickly. Working with a personal injury professional experienced in bicycle accidents in Seattle can help you protect your rights, gather evidence, and pursue compensation for medical bills, lost income, and future care needs.
