Seattle, WA (October 17, 2025) – One person sustained serious injuries on Thursday night, October 16, after a vehicle struck a scooter at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Pike Street in downtown Seattle.

Reports indicate that the crash occurred around 11:27 p.m. when an adult male riding a scooter was hit by a car. The man, who was wearing black clothing at the time, suffered severe injuries in the impact.

Several emergency units responded quickly to the scene and provided medical aid to the injured rider. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released updates regarding his current condition.

The driver of the vehicle remained on-site and cooperated with investigators. Officials have not confirmed whether impairment or speed played a role in the crash.

The Seattle Police Department continues to investigate the incident to determine the cause and contributing factors.

    Scooter Accidents in Seattle

Electric scooters have become a common sight in Seattle, offering a quick and affordable way to travel through the city. However, scooter accidents are increasingly frequent, especially in busy downtown areas where cars, cyclists, and pedestrians share close quarters. Many of these crashes result in serious injuries such as fractures, internal trauma, or brain injuries.

It’s important to work with a personal injury attorney who understands personal injury claims in Seattle and how scooter collisions are handled under local laws. A knowledgeable attorney can help victims recover compensation through a personal injury claim for:

    • Hospital and medical expenses
    • Physical therapy and rehabilitation
    • Lost income during recovery
    • Pain, suffering, and reduced quality of life

Traumatic brain injuries are a very serious but often overlooked outcome of car crashes. Because the brain is a soft and delicate organ, even a minor scooter accident can cause lasting effects such as headaches, memory problems, or mood changes.
