    Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Washington

Pedestrian accidents are a growing concern across Washington, especially in busy areas like Kent. These crashes often have devastating outcomes because the human body is no match for the force of a moving vehicle. Even at lower speeds, the impact can cause fatal injuries.

Some of the most common factors in fatal pedestrian crashes include:

    • Distracted driving, often involving cell phones
    • Impaired driving from alcohol or drugs
    • Drivers failing to yield at crosswalks
    • Speeding on residential or high-traffic streets
    • Limited visibility during early morning or nighttime hours

For families, the sudden loss of a loved one creates more than just emotional pain. Funeral costs, medical bills, and the loss of household income add financial stress at the worst possible time. A wrongful death claim can help cover these costs while also holding negligent drivers accountable.

It is important to work with a personal injury attorney who understands pedestrian accidents in Kent. Wrongful death cases require careful investigation, including driver statements, witness testimony, traffic evidence, and knowledge of local traffic laws. Skilled legal support can help families secure the compensation they need to move forward.
