Rainier, WA (July 20, 2025) – A motorcyclist was seriously hurt on July 20 after a crash near Johnson Creek Road, roughly two miles from State Route 507, prompting emergency crews to respond and call for an airlift.
S.E. Thurston Fire and Thurston County Sheriff’s units arrived at the scene shortly before 3:00 p.m. The rider was found unresponsive but conscious on the ground. Medic 2 assessed the situation and determined the injuries warranted air transport. A helicopter was dispatched, and Rainier High School was selected as the landing zone. By 3:24 p.m., the airlift unit was overhead and preparing to land.
