Seattle, WA (December 23, 2025) – One person was hurt on Monday, December 22, after a violent two-car crash near 23rd Place Northeast in Seattle. The collision occurred around 2:24 a.m. and involved a black GMC Sierra and a black Tesla traveling eastbound between 23rd and 24th Place.

Witnesses said the vehicles collided with significant force, scattering debris across the roadway. Emergency crews arrived within minutes and found at least one occupant seriously hurt inside one of the cars. Medics provided emergency care at the scene before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Authorities have not released updates on the victim’s current condition.

Seattle police closed the area for several hours while investigators examined the scene, gathered evidence, and interviewed witnesses. The Seattle Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the crash.

    Car Accidents in Washington

Car crashes remain a leading cause of serious injuries across Washington. In cities like Seattle, narrow streets, dense traffic, and late-night driving often increase the risk of collisions. The force of a two-car crash can cause severe and lasting harm, leaving victims with injuries that may take months to heal.

Common causes of car crashes in Washington include:

    • Fatigue during early-morning or overnight hours
    • Distraction from mobile devices or navigation systems
    • Reduced visibility in dark or rainy conditions
    • Sudden stops or unsafe following distances

Many victims walk away from a crash feeling only mild soreness, but symptoms may appear hours or even days later. Headaches, dizziness, and blurred vision can signal hidden brain trauma. The brain is a soft and delicate organ, and even a minor blow can cause lasting problems with focus, memory, and coordination.

Immediate medical attention is critical after any crash. Early evaluation helps doctors detect internal or delayed injuries and provides essential documentation for insurance or legal claims.

It is also important to work with a personal injury attorney who understands car accidents in Seattle and how local insurers often minimize payouts. A skilled legal team can investigate the crash, gather evidence, and pursue fair compensation for hospital bills, lost wages, pain, and ongoing care.
