Quincy, WA (December 19, 2025) – A serious three-vehicle collision on December 18 left one person dead and another injured in Grant County.
The crash occurred around 5:45 a.m. on State Route 28 near Trinidad Hill. According to state officials, a westbound sedan attempted to pass another vehicle in the opposing lane. During the maneuver, the vehicle collided with an oncoming sedan traveling eastbound.
Following the initial impact, a third sedan struck the eastbound vehicle from behind. The force of the collisions caused two of the vehicles to catch fire. Flames quickly spread, and both vehicles were fully engulfed when emergency crews arrived.
One driver was ejected from a vehicle during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another driver sustained injuries and was transported to Confluence Health Hospital in Wenatchee for medical treatment. The third driver involved did not report injuries.
Firefighters and medical personnel worked to control the flames and assist the injured occupant. Authorities did not release further information regarding the severity of the injuries.
